UN High Commissioner for Human Rights/2009-11-16 - A GLOBAL DAY OF ACTION, we are calling on all people who support human rights and basic moral rights to take a stand and send a message to put pressure on the United Nations and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to stop the executions of minors and people of all ages convicted of 'crimes' - NOW.

Since the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979, thousands of executions have been carried out for the past 30 years. Many of these convictions are bogus or minor offenses and the defendants are innocent or the victims themselves.  Even true felonies and misdemeanor convictions can be given jail time sentences as punishment, but instead people in Iran are being illegally executed. All forms of executions are inhumane, but execution of citizens in Iran who are convicted of 'crimes' are being carried out in a barbaric manner by hanging them with nooses and letting them suffocate to death. Not only are they being hanged, but it is done openly in public to create fear among Iranian citizens and to "set an example". The government uses cranes to hoist up their bodies 500 feet in the air and puts them publicly on display.

These acts break all human rights international laws and treaties (which are ratified and signed by the government of Iran) and they have been able to carry out these crimes against humanity for too long without any enforcement or repercussions by the international community.

Citizen's of the world, "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH".

Take a stand with us on Nov 20th, 2009 by cutting a piece of rope to stand in solidarity with the victims whose lives were unjustly taken and mail the broken rope and this flyer to the United Nations:
